Nissan will launch three new SUV models in China
Shanghai April 5th, 2017 Gasgoo-Nissan has released many SUV models including Qashqai, X-Trail, Murano and Patrol. It’s said that Nissan is considering to cooperate with Mitsubishi to develop the new generation large-size SUV Patrol. According to plan, it will introduce the new generation Patrol, Paladin, and New Kicks to China in the future, covering small-size, compact and large-size 7-seat models.
Kicks, the small-size SUV specified for South American and Caribbean area market, will be introduced into China and other markets afterwards. Its model information has been made public, with the body size of 4,295*1,760*1,588mm and wheelbase of 2,620mm. It will equip with 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and will be launched in China this year.
Paladin is sold under the joint-venture company Zhengzhou Nissan. The new Paladin has great change in its front face, adopting Nissan’s new family-style V-Motion design. The tilting body D column, along with the flat roof and long rear overhang will bring more spacious room.
Currently, Nissan is discussing with Mitsubishi to develop Patrol together. The current Patrol model equips with 5.6L naturally aspirated engine, and it is expected to equip with PHEV system in the future.
