Mazda will Launch Four New SUVs

CX-9

Highlights: Equipped with 2.5T turbocharged engine; 7 seats

CX-9 is the flagship SUV model of Mazda. Since its introduction to domestic sales in 2013, CX-9 has not been upgraded. According to the plan, however, CX-9 will be upgraded in next year in China. The new model will be equipped with a 2.5 L inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine, with the maximum power of 186kW, and the peak torque of 420Nm. It will also be equipped with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and offers front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options.

CX-8

Highlights: cross-over SUV model; six seats version and seven seats version

CX-8 is a crossover SUV model. Its body size is 4900 * 1840 * 1730mm, and the wheelbase is 2930mm. The new car will be equipped with SkyActiv-D 2.2T turbocharged engine, and will be matched with a 6-speed gearbox. It has two versions: six seats and seven seats. CX-8 will be launched overseas in 2017, and it is expected to be introduced to domestic sales in the future.

CX-5

Highlights: new design; perhaps with 7 seats

The new CX-5 is expected to be equipped with 2.0L and 2.5L naturally aspirated engine from SKYACTIV Technology. The matching gearbox is a 6-speed automatic gearbox, and it offers two versions: front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. CX-3 is a new small SUV to be launched. The new model is to be equipped with 2.0L natural aspirated engine from SKYACTIV Technology, with the maximum power of 116kW, and the peak torque of 202Nm. The drive system is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed automatic gearbox with manual shift mode. You can also choose the four-wheel drive system.
