The Industrial Park of GAC for Intelligent-Connected NEVs Breaks Ground

SHANGHAI May 4th, 2017 Gasgoo – A few days ago, an Industrial Park of GAC for Intelligent-Connected New Energy Vehicles, which is located in Fanyu of Guangzhou city with a total planning area of about 7500mu, started construction. In the future, the industrial park will form an ultra-large type of domestic comprehensive vehicle production base together with Hualong production base in Fanyu which has already been built.

GAC Group leaded all firms that will settle down in this industrial park to invest a total of over 45 billion yuan for its construction, and the newly built industrial park will focus on three fields, namely “intelligent manufacturing, innovation and R&D and ecological town”, to carry out an important layout for six commercial activities——automobile producing, R&D, finance, culture, traveling and commerce and trade, to form function division of “One Axis, Two Veranda and Three Districts”, to develop the industrial park into a development model of “Made in China 2025”, a national level innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration base, an ecological town for intelligent-connected NEVs, and to build an innovative Eco-city for international new-energy automobile industry which is intelligent, innovative, green, co-sharing and ecological. After it is built up, it will open to GAC Group joint venture enterprises and the society, and sharing the platform for research, development, production and marketing. It is expected that, the total output value of this industrial park will surpass 170 billion yuan, the profits and taxes will be over 42 billion yuan and driving an employment population of more than 20 thousand people.
