Car and City: Hangzhou registers most Li ONEs in Jan.-Apr. 2022
In April, Chinese NEV startup Li Auto saw the monthly registrations of the Li ONE decline 23.7% year on year to 4,213 units, according to the data compiled by Gasgoo Auto Research Institute (“GARI”).
In terms of April registrations of locally-made new energy passenger vehicles (“NEPV”), Li Auto ranked 13th among all auto brands on the Chinese mainland and 5th among Chinese NEV startups.
Among all homemade NEPV models, the Li ONE ranked 17th by April registrations.
In April, Foshan was honored the No.1 city by the monthly registrations of the Li ONE. Hangzhou was the other city with over 400 Li ONE registered. Aside from Foshan, there were also three cities from Guangdong province among the top 10 cities list, namely, Zhongshan (3rd), Shantou (5th), and Shenzhen (6th).
For the first four months of 2022, there were a total of 36,109 Li ONEs registered, representing a 102.4% hike compared to the previous year.
Among the top 10 cities by the Jan.-Apr. registrations of the Li ONE, five spots were occupied by provincial capital cities, namely, Hangzhou (1st), Zhengzhou (2nd), Chengdu (3rd), Guangzhou (8th), and Xi’an (9th). The four first-tier cities—Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Beijing—all cracked the rankings of the top 10 cities.
