Great Wall Motor sees overseas sales leap 33.87% YoY in Nov. 2022
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Great Wall Motor ("GWM") sold 87,560 vehicles in Nov. 2022, representing a 28.53% year-on-year decrease, according to the company's latest monthly sales results.
Of the vehicles sold last month, 20,088 units were sold to overseas markets, indicating a 33.87% jump over the previous year.
For the first eleven months of the year, GWM saw its cumulative auto sales slide 11.49% from a year earlier to 990,081 units, 152,884 units of which were sold overseas to reflect a 20.36% increase year-over-year.
The company said the vehicles priced over 200,000 yuan ($28,660) accounted for 14.88% of the company's Jan.-Nov. sales, which were 4.79 percentage points higher than that of the year-ago period.

GWM's new energy vehicle (NEV) sector recorded a sales volume of 12,863 units in Nov., resulting in a year-to-date volume of 120,733 units.
Among brands, HAVAL, WEY, GWM Pickup, and ORA all clocked a year-on-year decline in both Nov. and Jan.-Nov. sales. Of them, WEY faced the steepest drop in both monthly and year-to-date sales.
Despite the overall downturn, TANK still logged an 8.02% year-on-year upward movement in Nov. sales. For the Jan.-Nov. period of 2022, the brand’s total sales also surged 55.39% over a year ago to 112,859 units.
