Dongfeng Motor tops off global styling design center in Wuhan city

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker Dongfeng Motor celebrated the topping-off ceremony of its global styling design center in Wuhan, Hubei province, on December 29, which marked a key milestone in advancing its design leadership strategy and high-quality development goals.

The center occupies a 20,000-square-meter site with a total construction area of 48,500 square meters, spanning five floors above ground and one underground. Standing 31.95 meters tall, the facility is poised to become the central hub of Dongfeng Motor's "three countries, four locations" global design network.  

Equipped with cutting-edge remote mixed-reality technology, the center will enable 24-hour seamless collaboration among design teams across different locations. It can concurrently support up to eight new design projects and handle more than 50 design initiatives annually. Upon completion, it will be the first comprehensive design complex globally capable of developing designs for a diverse range of passenger and commercial vehicles, said Dongfeng Motor.  

Dongfeng Motor aims to leverage the global styling design center as a platform to enhance R&D investments, strengthen technological innovation, and elevate product quality and brand image. The center will adopt advanced design concepts and frontier technologies to build a globally competitive design team, reinforcing the automaker's commitment to innovation-driven growth.
