Horizon Robotics partners with ZongmuTech for autonomous driving development

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s edge-AI chip developer, Horizon Robotics, announced its strategic partnership with autonomous driving solution provider ZongmuTech to create mass-producible autonomous driving solutions.

Horizon Robotics has reliable Journey series auto-grade chips, mobile visual perception algorithms, while ZongmuTech’s strong suits lie in parking algorithms, millimeter-wave radars, ultrasonic radars, cameras, and comprehensive systematic design capabilities.

The two companies intend to build on their strength and cater their products to different terminal customers’ demands.

ZongmTech will develop a series of intelligent driving application solutions by integrating Horizon Robotics’ Journey 3 chip and algorithms. The partners will also be exploring the possibilities of Horizon Robotics’ Journey 5 chips, helping automakers make smarter and safer cars.

As one of the leading ADAS products providers, ZongmuTech’s full-stack capabilities attracted many Chinese major automakers and received several L4 level mass-production orders. The company has also formed mass-production relationships with FAW Group’s Hongqi, Changan Auto, and Dongfeng Motor’s VOYAH brand. 

Notably, most of the major automotive technology companies in China have been actively forming partnerships with each other. By sharing resources and experiences, the companies believed that they could further the development of China’s automotive intelligence industry better and faster.
