Chery’s Lion Tech joins hands with location service provider, Dayou Pi for ICV development
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chery’s automotive intelligence arm, Lion Tech joined hands with location service provider, Dayou Pi, to build a united work group for intelligent connected vehicle (ICV) R&D and mass production.

The partnership specifies that the two parties will form a joint work force, and cooperate in various automotive intelligence aspects, including V2X, high-precision maps, high-precision locating, and simulation tests for autonomous driving.

To be specific, Dayou Pi will provide high-precision mapping and positioning services for all mass-produced vehicles that feature Lion Tech’s intelligent driving system. Dayou Pi will support Lion Tech’s development, test, and verification of its autonomous driving system.
Moreover, Daiyou Pi will also provide a corresponding simulation scenario database, simulation software platform, and test services for Lion Tech’s autonomous driving simulations, accelerating the mass production of autonomous driving vehicles.
Dayou Pi is a mixed-owned company incubated by China Intelligent and Connected Vehicles (Beijing) Research Institute Co., Ltd. Building on Beidou’s differential service satellite and INS combination, high-precision maps, SLAM, RFID and Bluetooth, the Dayou Pi focuses on developing safe, convenient and stable high-precision locating capability and spacetime service system. The company’s technologies are used in intelligent vehicles, smart cities, intelligent mines and others.
Additionally, Dayou Pi and Lion Tech will also work on the mass production of autonomous driving vehicles.
