The partnership specifies that Horizon Robotics and UAES aim to co-develop an integrated cross-domain onboard computing platform eligible for mass production by virtue of each's resources and technical advantages in the automotive electronics and artificial intelligence fields. The partners hope to accelerate the progress of software-defining vehicles through the cooperation.
Based on Horizon Robotics’ Journey series chips, software algorithms, and toolchains, the two companies plan to profoundly cooperate in the AI chip, basic software architecture, and SOA service territories, with a shared vision to construct a customizable, integrated, and iterative solution for the auto industry.
Currently, their co-developed onboard computing platform solution built on the Journey 3 chip has already landed mass-production orders from a major Chinese automaker.
Horizon Robotics and UAES believed that the automotive industry is initiating a revolution in the electronics and electrical architecture field, transitioning from a distributed computing architecture to a centralized, cross-domain computing architecture.
UAES and Horizon Robotics’ business directions align with the transition to explore the automotive intelligence field.
