Lenovo invests in China’s IoT developer ZiFiSense

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 23rd, China's IoT developer, ZiFiSense, announced that it had completed its B+ financing round, raising hundreds of millions of yuan.

The investment round was led by Lenovo Capital and Vlight Capital. Other participants in this round include Sinochem and Thai cement mogul SCG. According to ZiFiSense, the funds will help the company build a ZETA chip ecosystem and a world-first inductive tracking IoT network. The company will also use the money to expand its business layout in the industrial, energy, and auto parts fields. 

As an IoT technology provider, ZiFiSense offers end-to-end IoT solutions based on "ZETA LPWAN", "Edge AIoT", and "ZETag". The company holds strong R&D capabilities and expertise in telecommunication hardware, server platform, wireless protocol, and AI algorithms. The company's IoT solutions target three major scenarios, namely in-building IoT, industrial IoT, and logistics IoT. 

ZiFiSense houses a large R&D team accounting for 60% of its roster. Its core research members were from well-known telecom giants, HUAWEI and ZTE. Aside from China, the company currently has global representatives based in the UK, Japan, Singapore and Thailand.

The company has formed a partnership with multiple automakers, SAIC-GM Wuling, JAC Motor, and Great Wall Motor. Other major companies like Bosch, Nestle, SF, JD.com, and Alibaba's Cainiao are also clients of ZiFiSense.
