Arm China joins hands with China’s vehicle chip developer SemiDrive

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s automotive chip supplier, SemiDrive, has partnered with Arm China to develop next-generation automotive electronic and electrical architecture products, the chip maker announced on March 18th.

According to the partners, the cooperation will focus on the development of ADAS and autonomous driving technologies, exploring the possibilities of Arm China’s exclusive XPU architecture, and SemiDrive’s definition, design and R&D capabilities on automotive chips. 

With a profound understanding of the needs and challenges in the intelligent auto market, Arm China and SemiDrive’s vision aligns. Arm China’s high computing power XPU IP meets the demands of SemiDrive’s chip products perfectly. The two companies aim to create more solutions in every application scenario, satisfying automakers' differentiated requirements of chips in the future. 

SemiDrive’s X9 series chips dedicated to intelligent cockpits can help automakers build a smart onboard space. A single unit of the X9 allows up to ten high-resolution displays, including dashboard, center control, rearview mirror, and backrow infotainment. 

The company disclosed that it is preparing to launch a ASIL D high performance, high reliability automotive MCU chip, covering a broad selection of application scenarios including body, chassis and power. 

Additionally, SemiDrive has partnered with over 200 companies in different fields, to form a resultful ecosystem, serving automakers better.
