The three companies, namely, Shanghai Enjoy Move Technology, Shanghai G-Pulse Electronics Technology, and Suzhou TZTEK Technology will be leveraging the Journey 5 chip and each’s rich R&D experience in software and hardware to help clients accelerate their mass production progress for intelligent driving solutions.
Horizon Robotics explained that IDH acts as a Tier1.5 supplier in the automotive industrial chain, offsetting the missing subdivision in the massive industry. IDH can help automakers shorten their delivery period, and cut delivery cost and risks.
Horizon Robotics' Journey 5 is its third-generation auto-grade product, providing a maximum computing power of 128TOPS and true AI performance of 1,283FPS. The chip is the first automotive AI chip in China that complies with ISO 26262.
The announcement of hardware IDH partners marked another milestone of Horizon Robotics after it formed first issue partnerships with Continental AG, Neusoft Reach, Luxshare Precision, and LCKT for a Journey 5-based central computing platform.
