The successful adaptation indicates that the companies will be able to provide seamless and synergized design, development, testing, and deployment tool for complex HMI projects.

Qt and SemiDrive’s cooperation started in 2020 in the onboard dashboard solution field. The duo has co-developed the Linux+Qt dashboard demo based on SemiDrive’s X9H chip. The product meets the demands of various render needs under different scenarios, including    2D/3D mixed render, 2.5D effect, multi-engine simultaneous render, and cross-platform code reuse.

In April this year, SemiDrive launched its high-performance reliable automotive MCU, E3. Two months later, Qt introduced the Qt for MXUs 2.2 LTS. The two companies then finished corresponding software hardware adaption. Qt for MCUs provides lightweight graphic framework and toolkit for SemiDrive’s high-reliability Cortex-R5 core. It is inclusive of everything needed to design, develop, and deploy graphical user interface on micro controllers.

Up to now, SemiDrive’s automotive chips have been deployed by over 260 companies, accounting for more than 80% of automakers in China.
