Based on years of accumulation in the autonomous driving field, SAIC AI LAB provided a self-developed software/hardware integrated L4 autonomous driving solution for the newly released 2.0 technology architecture.
The solution offers highly redundant hardware solutions and over 600TOPS of high-power computing units, providing a safe and comfortable autonomous driving experience.
The system establishes a data-driven algorithm for the whole process and an efficient closed-loop automation simulation toolchain, enabling the data transmission and technology integration between mass-produced vehicles and the autonomous driving system.
The onboard human-machine interaction experience is also crucial for autonomous driving. SAIC AI LAB also released a new intelligent cockpit, which is able to upgrade the driving experience to a new dimension. The collaboration between hardware and software helps the cockpit realize multi-dimensional interaction of hearing, vision, and touch, creating an immersive cockpit experience for users.
According to SAIC Motor, the 2.0 architecture will be massively deployed onto SAIC Motor’s Robotaxi 2.0 vehicles and put into operation in Shanghai and Shenzhen in 2022.
The Robotaxi 2.0 is planned, designed, developed, and modified by SAIC Motor, realizing highly integrated intelligent driving technologies. The vehicles are assembled at SAIC Motor’s Shanghai Lingang factory on a large scale, complying with the GVDP mass production development process.
