According to LCFC, as autonomous driving and AI technology ushering in a new era, the company developed the super-high computing power AMR autonomous driving domain controller as a part of its strategic layout in the AMR (autonomous mobile robots) field. Notably, the product launch came months after Lenovo officially emphasized in August its plan to not make cars.
The EA-R600 is embedded with two NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin modules, offering a maximum edge computing power of 550TOPS. LCFC said that the product can fully meet the requirements of various autonomous driving scenarios, including environmental sanitation, delivery, package sorting, freight, and logistics. It can provide safer and more efficient service on arterial roads and in mid-to-short distance distribution open areas such as mines, ports, parks, and other closed areas.
Moreover, Lenovo previously disclosed that the company has already established a laboratory for automotive computing, working on smart cockpits, autonomous driving, and central computing platform.
