Xiaomi releases patents of wearable devices for vehicle control
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi recently unveiled several auto-related patents, which involve wearable devices, according to information released by Chinese corporate database Tianyancha on February 1.

Specifically, the patent released is about wearable devices and data processing methods for wearable devices involving display screens, first Bluetooth module, and processors.
The first Bluetooth module is used to establish a communication connection between the wearable device and the vehicle, and the processor is used to obtain the distance between the wearable device and the vehicle, and automatically switch the interface of the display to control one or more functions of said vehicle when the distance is less than a set distance threshold. Besides, Xiaomi also released a patent regarding a control method, device, electronic device, and storage media for vehicles in the field of autonomous driving vehicle’s intelligent control technologies.
The device to be controlled is a built-in device of the vehicle used to detect the index value of at least one physiological characteristic of the user is in a preset interval, and send the aforesaid physiological characteristic and index value to the vehicle so that the vehicle can be controlled by the device.
In other words, the patent allows the wearable device to conduct independent monitoring of the user, to achieve timely feedback control of the vehicle, to avoid situations where the user’s physical discomfort endangers the driving experience.
