According to the agreement, AutoChips will use Elektrobit’s EB tresos for the software development based on the classic AUTOSAR platform. The two companies will jointly create a software and hardware integrated solution to help automakers and Tier1 suppliers develop high-level applications for automotive electronic control units (ECUs) more efficiently and economically, in compliance with the AUTOSAR standard.
Elektrobit has been a senior member of AUTOSAR since its inception and has actively participated in the development of AUTOSAR standards, as well as being a leading player in AUTOSAR software and tools. EB tresos supports the development of automotive ECUs with the highest level of functional safety, ASIL-D. With over 35 years of experience serving the automotive industry, Elektrobit provides support for over 5 billion-unit devices implemented in more than 600 million vehicles.
AutoChips is one of the earlier automotive semiconductor players in China to make layout in the AUTOSAR architecture. The company’s AC7840x functional safety MCU supports system development based on the AUTOSAR standard architecture, which can significantly improve software reuse, accelerate development and maintenance, optimize the cost of scalable systems, and facilitate automaker or third-party applications
