Bosch China secures luxury car brand project for smart cockpit domain controller

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Bosch's Cross-Domain Computing Solutions division in China has recently secured a project contract with a renowned luxury car brand for the development of software for the second-generation smart cockpit domain controller based on the Qualcomm SA8295 chip.

According to Bosch, this project marks the first international luxury brand project won by Bosch's second-generation smart cockpit domain controller platform in the local market. In the future, multiple models of this international luxury car brand will be equipped with Bosch's second-generation smart cockpit domain controller, and the solution will also serve the brand's global market.

The Bosch second-generation smart cockpit domain controller, powered by the Qualcomm 8295 chip, boasts a peak computing power of up to 30TOPS. It can support up to 12 physical displays and 16 cameras, offering a more immersive in-cabin experience. The system enables higher levels of functional safety and facilitates cross-domain integration.

As early as April 2021, Bosch China achieved mass production of the world's first smart cockpit domain controller project based on the Qualcomm SA8155 chip platform. In May 2022, the second-generation Bosch smart cockpit domain controller platform, based on the Qualcomm SA8295 chip, successfully obtained its first nomination order in China. Currently, the Bosch smart cockpit domain controller platform has secured projects with various mainstream domestic automakers.

Bosch stated that the successful acquisition of the project contract for the software development of the second-generation smart cockpit domain controller's rear-row entertainment system signifies the recognition of Bosch's local software development capabilities by this international luxury car brand. It strengthens the relationship between Bosch China's Cross-Domain Computing Solutions division and international automakers.
