Flagchip, iSoft Infrastructure Software to co-develop automotive MCU software solutions

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Flagchip, a Chinese automotive chip supplier, and iSoft Infrastructure Software, a subsidiary of China Electronics Technology Group Corp (CETC), recently announced a strategic partnership aimed at jointly developing comprehensive software solutions for automotive-grade MCUs.

Their collaboration will span various areas, including AUTOSAR basic software, tool software, functional safety, information security, and FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air updates). The primary goal is to advance the application and adoption of domestically produced high-performance automotive-grade chips in areas such as vehicle electronics, in-car lighting control, automotive powertrains, intelligent chassis systems, functional safety controllers, and domain controllers.

Flagchip stands out as one of the few Chinese manufacturers capable of independently developing multi-application cores and high-computing power MCUs compliant with ISO 26262 functional safety ASIL D standards. The company specializes in the R&D and sales of high-end automotive controller chips. Flagchip has already introduced the FC4150 product family, compliant with functional safety ASIL B, and the FC7300 product family, meeting the application requirements of Automotive Electric/Electronic Architecture 3.0.

iSoft Infrastructure Software serves as a key platform for the development of basic software within the CETC. It has been focusing on the research and industrialization of domestically produced operating systems for 15 years. In the realm of automotive basic software, iSoft has independently developed several products to provide a one-stop solution for vehicle software design, development, configuration, integration, testing, and localized support, along with ecosystem support for automotive chips. As of the end of 2022, iSoft's automotive basic software platform has already achieved a cumulative production volume of over 12 million sets.
