Baidu Apollo, HSAE join forces to build new-gen smart vehicle product

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 16, 2023, Baidu Apollo and Shenzhen Hangsheng Electronics Co., Ltd. (referred to as "HSAE") inked a strategic partnership agreement to leverage their respective technological and platform capabilities to help each other in the realms of the internet and automotive manufacturing, propelling the advancement of the smart automotive industry.

The primary outcome of this partnership will be the development of a new generation of cockpit and driving fusion products. Built on Qualcomm's platform and incorporating Baidu's cutting-edge technologies in intelligent driving and cockpit fusion, these products will offer a smarter, safer, and more comfortable driving experience for both the automotive sector and partners in the autonomous driving domain.

This collaboration is also a significant application of Baidu's AI large model technology. These AI large models represent a milestone technology in the journey towards general artificial intelligence, combining the attributes of "large-scale" and "pre-training." Prior to modeling for specific tasks, these models undergo pre-training on extensive general data, greatly enhancing AI's generalization, versatility, and practicality. Through the collaboration with HSAE, Baidu's large model technology will be further refined and optimized, providing superior products and services to a wider range of industry partners.

HSAE, as a mature Tier1 player, possesses substantial technical expertise and industry experience. Through this partnership, HSAE will leverage Baidu's large model technology to enhance intelligent driving’s decision-making, planning, and control capabilities, thereby elevating driving safety and comfort.
