Ji Yue introduces pure vision-based intelligent driving solution

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 17, Robocar (automotive robot) maker Ji Yue introduced China's first "BEV+Transformer Pure Vision" advanced intelligent driving technology. The system, which relies solely on vision, is already operational on the roads of Shanghai, providing advanced driver assistance.

In a landmark collaboration with Baidu, Ji Yue revealed the country's first "Occupancy Network" (OCC) technology. This groundbreaking addition promises to further bolster the "pure vision" advanced intelligent driving capabilities of the Robocar.

Meanwhile, Ji Yue also demonstrated its prowess in intelligent vehicle cabin interaction, highlighting its AI companion, SIMO, capable of controlling nearly all vehicle functions.

As the first intelligent vehicle to be comprehensively powered by Baidu Apollo's advanced autonomous driving capabilities, the Ji Yue 01 boasts dual NVIDIA DRIVE Orin chips. Its advanced intelligent driving capabilities span across various domains, including high-speed, urban, and parking scenarios.

In its initial 1.0 phase, Ji Yue developed an advanced intelligent driving solution that combined "pure vision with LiDAR assistance." These two independent systems served as backups for each other. Now, with rapidly advancing AI visual algorithms, the Ji Yue 01's advanced intelligent driving has transitioned to the 2.0 phase, eliminating the need for LiDAR and gradually reducing reliance on high-precision maps. The "BEV+Transformer Pure Vision" technology is highly mature, paving the way for broad-scale deployment in larger cities across the nation, said the company.

The core function of Ji Yue's advanced intelligent driver assistance system, the point-to-point navigation assistance (PPA), relies on pure vision strategy and has already been successfully implemented on the main roads of Shanghai.

To further elevate the capabilities of the "pure vision" technology and ensure a safer and more confident user experience, Ji Yue's collaboration with Baidu resulted in the development of OCC Occupancy Network technology. The combination of the "BEV+Transformer Pure Vision" solution with OCC technology forms a comprehensive system for Robocar's advanced intelligent driving, which is already production-ready.
