DeepWay's autonomous new energy truck tested in Tianjin's intelligent road network

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Tianjin's Xiqing District and the Dongjiang Free Trade Zone, among other regions, recently hosted an event to unveil their intelligent connected vehicle testing road network. This marked the full-scale opening of intelligent testing roads covering approximately 800 kilometers in Tianjin.

At the event, the regions showcased the inaugural tests of autonomous vehicles on their comprehensive testing roads via a video link. Remarkably, both the Xiqing District and the Dongjiang Free Trade Zone chose DeepWay, the autonomous new energy truck developer with the backing of Baidu, as their representative vehicle for these initial tests. This choice aimed to demonstrate the innovative developments in autonomous driving applications within their respective regions.

In the event's videos, the Xiqing District and the Dongjiang Free Trade Zone highlighted DeepWay's autonomous new energy truck's real-road test results within their areas. Under the supervision of safety operators, DeepWay's self-driving truck seamlessly interacted with complex traffic environments, including vehicles, pedestrians, and non-motorized vehicles. It successfully performed functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane centering, obstacle avoidance, lane changing, and emergency lane stops. Furthermore, the DeepWay autonomous new energy truck comes equipped with features like remote monitoring and data analysis, offering robust support for future intelligent traffic management.

The Xiqing District and the Dongjiang Free Trade Zone, as vital areas in Tianjin, have been actively promoting the development and application of high-tech autonomous driving technologies by signing cooperation agreements with companies like DeepWay and facilitating road test license applications. These efforts aim to enhance technological innovation and industrial development while advancing the growth of high-tech autonomous driving companies.
