XPeng will commence public test of the Xmart OS 4.5.0 version for users of the XPeng G9 and XPeng P7i models who applied, while the XPeng G6 will join the test on December 18.
Since the comprehensive release of the new OTA version, Xmart OS 4.4.0, on November 28, XPeng's urban navigation assisted driving under the XNGP intelligent driving solution has been operational in 25 cities. This latest phase of public testing will encompass an additional 27 cities.
In August this year, XPeng had aimed to have its XNGP solution become operational in 50 cities by the year-end. With the upcoming full-scale rollout across these 27 cities, the XNGP will be available in 52 cities by the year's end, achieving its goal.
XNGP, the second-generation intelligent assisted driving system following the XPILOT, introduces intelligent driving features for city conditions (City NGP) and enhanced functionalities such as Highway NGP and VPA memory parking atop the foundational XPILOT system.
Additionally, the Xmart OS 4.5.0 OTA update not only includes these 27 cities lacking high-precision map coverage but also enhances the navigation-assisted driving experience in various scenarios like highways, urban expressways, and city roads, especially where high-precision maps are absent.
