Under the supervision and guidance of the Shanghai municipal government, ZF will conduct open-road testing of autonomous driving in the designated areas within the city.
With a focus on the high technical requirements of L4 autonomous driving technology, ZF's in-house developed autonomous driving capabilities cover perception, localization, AI, data, decision-making, and control aspects. The autonomous driving system integrates ZF's cutting-edge technologies in autonomous driving and chassis, incorporating various algorithms based on 4D millimeter-wave radar, BEV Transformer's visual + 4D millimeter-wave fusion technology, a comprehensive Auto labelling toolchain, and the integration of cubiX® vehicle control algorithms.
In the future, ZF plans to iterate and enhance its autonomous driving system, improving stability, expanding testing scenarios on public roads, and leveraging its advantage in the vehicle components field to create a more cost-effective and superior autonomous driving solution. This involves designing intelligent chassis products and cubiX® control algorithm modules tailored to the demands of L2 to L4 autonomous driving technologies, aligning with the clear trend towards intelligence in chassis actuators and vehicle control algorithms for autonomous driving systems.
