The ATX inherits Hesai’s mature AT platform, which has already seen hundreds of thousands of units in production. It features upgraded optical and laser transmitter-receiver modules, achieving a perfect combination of compact size and robust performance. Compared to Hesai’s AT128 LiDAR, the ATX is 60% smaller in volume and 50% lighter, while also offering expanded detection range, better resolution, and a wider field of view, providing smart vehicles with powerful three-dimensional perception capabilities.

The ATX has secured multiple production orders from leading domestic and international automakers, including major Chinese carmakers, top new energy vehicle manufacturers, leading startups, and mainstream European and American joint ventures, said Hesai Technology. Mass production of the ATX is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2025.

Thanks to its extremely compact size and ultra-low power consumption, the ATX can be flexibly integrated into various positions on the vehicle body, including the roof, behind the windshield, and within the headlights, unlocking more possibilities for automakers.

With a maximum detection range of 300 meters, a support for up to 256 lines, and a best angular resolution of 0.08°x0.1°, the ATX surpasses the capabilities of the AT128. Its horizontal field of view reaches 140°, exceeding the 120° limit of similar products in the market, thus setting a new benchmark for high-performance long-range LiDAR.

The ATX features Hesai's proprietary Intelligent Point Cloud Engine (IPE), the world's first engine of its kind. With 256-core waveform processing units, the IPE achieves fine waveform capture at a high sampling rate of 24.6 billion times per second, enabling intelligent identification of rain, fog, vehicle exhaust, dust, and other environmental elements. It performs real-time pixel-level labeling in the point cloud, filtering out over 99.9% of environmental noise, thus providing clearer perception for smart vehicles.
