Wuxi city issues key plans to facilitate integrated vehicle-road-cloud pilot program
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Recently, the city of Wuxi has been selected as one of the first cities in China to pilot the integrated application of intelligent connected vehicles, roads, and cloud platforms. On July 14, the Wuxi Municipal Government held a deployment meeting to promote the construction of the vehicle-road-cloud integration system.

The meeting emphasized the development of a cloud control platform, the practical deployment of in-vehicle and roadside units, and the enhancement of autonomous driving, scenario-based applications, and data utilization.
The meeting underscored the importance of aligning with national requirements, market demands, and Wuxi's capabilities to effectively implement the pilot program. Key points included:
1. Infrastructure and Function Enhancement: The city aims to achieve comprehensive network coverage and upgrade sensor facilities like traffic signals, LiDAR, millimeter-wave radars, and high-precision mapping. This will be integrated with communications facilities like direct-connect communications and 5G private networks, along with city-level cloud control platforms to support the development of the integrated system.
2. Scenario Innovation and Model Exploration: In traffic management, Wuxi plans to build a smart traffic control center. In public transportation, the city will steadily introduce autonomous minibuses and buses. For municipal services, autonomous sanitation vehicles will be deployed, and more low-speed unmanned delivery vehicles will be used in urban logistics. The initiative also encourages the development of competitive integrated in-vehicle and roadside communications equipment, supports enterprises in advancing aftermarket intelligent connected vehicle terminals products, and expands data applications in the V2X (vehicle-to-everything) field.
3. Enterprise Aggregation and Industry Cultivation: Wuxi aims to nurture and grow platform-based, manufacturing, and software companies, strengthening core industries such as automotive-grade chips, vehicle sensors, and domain controllers. The city plans to develop specialized industrial parks like the Xishan V2X Town, creating a comprehensive ecosystem for V2X and intelligent connected vehicle industries.
