Elon Musk: China’s auto companies are most competitive worldwide

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automobile companies are the most competitive in the world, especially in software, Elon Musk stated in the 2021 WNEVC (World New Energy Vehicle Congress). " It is the software that almost shaped the future of the automobile industry, from design to manufacturing and especially autonomous driving,"said the CEO of Tesla.

"China is the largest and most dynamic new energy vehicle market in the world. Chinese consumers want a car with better connected and intelligent features," said Elon. Tesla saw great growing potential in China’s intelligent connected vehicle market. The public has an updated viewpoint towards new energy vehicles and Elon has great respect for Chinese companies who push the technologies forward. 

The CEO reemphasized the company’s insistence on the vision-based algorithm path and believed that autonomous driving could be achieved entirely by vision neural nets. The automaker is sure that Tesla’s self-driving ability is over ten times safer than human vision.

In addition, Elon Musk made his position clear in the autonomous driving safety and data security segment. The CEO of Tesla believed that data security is more than a responsibility to enterprises; it is the footstone of the entire auto industry. Tesla will be cooperative with national authorities to ensure secure protection of data.
