GAC Group launches super iron lithium battery
Beijing (Gasgoo)- GAC Group introduced its new-generation super iron lithium battery built on microcrystalline technology (SmLFP) at the 2022 GAC TECH DAY on June 28th.
According to GAC Group, batteries powered by the SmLFP technology has 13.5% higher cell quality energy density than regular mass-produced iron phosphate lithium battery cells that are currently on the market. Meanwhile, it also features 20% higher volume energy density and 10% capacity at the -20°C low temperature. The SmLFP technology allows over 2C of quick charge and more than 1.5 million kilometers of power battery life, solving the performance equilibrium problem.
Aside from the SmLFP technology, GAC Group also introduced its Julang hybrid EMB electrical powertrain architecture and unveiled its 1.5L hydrogen-fueled engine for the first time. Concluding from data released by GAC Group, the hydrogen engine features a hydrogen consumption of 0.84kg/100km or less.
Early on, GAC Group has disclosed that it plans on launching over ten new or refreshed models in 2022, in order to further perfect its product portfolio and elevate its comprehensive competitiveness.
