Car and City: Liuzhou registers most Hongguang MINIEVs in H1 2022
In June 2022, the registrations of the Wuling Hongguang MINIEV, a mini all-electric car model of SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW), stood at 41,516 units, leaping 45.12% year on year, while also jumping 40.41% month on month, according to the data compiled by Gasgoo Auto Research Institute (GARI).
Regarding the June 2022 registration volume, the Hongguang MINIEV was the runner-up among China-made new energy passenger vehicle (NEPV) models. The honor of the best-selling one was taken by Tesla's Model Y.

For the first half of 2022, there were a total of 196,395 Hongguang MINIEVs registered across China, representing a 24.92% year-on-year growth.
By the end of June 2022, the cumulative registrations of the Hongguang MINIEV added up to 702,466 units.
With 1,227 units registered in June, Liuzhou, where the Hongguang MINIEV is manufactured, ranked highest among cities in China by monthly registrations of the Wuling Hongguang MINIEV.
Among the top 10 cities by June registrations of the popular NEV model, four were provincial capital cities, namely, Wuhan (2nd), Chengdu (3rd), Nanning (5th), and Zhengzhou (10th).
For the first six months of this year, Liuzhou still topped other cities with 5,101 Hongguang MINIEVs registered. The 2nd to 5th places were all occupied by provincial capital cities. Besides, Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, was credited as the No.7 city.
