Geely’s premium EV brand ZEEKR names all-new MPV ZEEKR 009

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- ZEEKR, a premium all-electric vehicle brand under Geely Automobile, today announced its all-new MPV model is named ZEEKR 009, and released the model's teaser photos at the same time.

It is rumored that the yet-to-be-launched model is coded-named EF1E and positioned as a full-sized full-electric MPV. Riding on Geely's SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform, the ZEEKR 009 will take on such models as the DENZA D9, the Buick GL8, and the VOYAH Dreamer.

The teaser photos show that the ZEEKR 009 would inherit ZEEKR's iconic design language. The squarish sealed-off grille embebbed with 32 vertically installed LED light strips is inspired by pipe organ.

As for the side profile, the flat sunroof and straight waistlines are usually seen on a typical MPV model. The ZEEKR 009 is expected to carry such amenities as power sliding doors and privacy windows.

The model has been spotted out on open roads. According to the spy shots, the vehicle's rear end will feature an in-vogue lighting design with a light strip stretching across its width, displaying a striking resemblance to that of the ZEEKR 001.
