Car and City: ZEEKR 001’s monthly registrations surpass 10,000 units for first time

ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand of Geely Holding, saw the monthly registrations of its first production model, the ZEEKR 001, for the first time exceed 10,000 units in Nov. 2022.

Last month, the monthly registrations of the ZEEKR 001 reached 10,887 units, jumping 13.81% over the previous month, according to the data compiled by Gasgoo Auto Research Institute ("GARI").

Retail and fleet registrations of the ZEEKR 001 stood at 9,646 and 1,241 units in Nov., respectively.

Among the ZEEKR 001s registered last month, 7,047 and 3,840 units featured a guidance price of 299,000 yuan ($42,810) and 386,000 yuan ($55,270), respectively.

By the end of Nov. 2022, there had been 65,575 ZEEKR 001s registered across the Chinese mainland cumulatively, 60,009 units were registered in the first eleven months of this year.

In Nov. 2022, Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province, still topped other cities in China with 1,691 ZEEKR 001s registered, but it only outsold Shanghai by 383 units. Other three cities in Zhejiang provinces—Wenzhou, Ningbo, and Taizhou—ranked eighth, tenth, and eleventh, respectively, by Nov. registrations of the ZEEKR 001.

Regarding the ZEEKR 001 registrations for the first eleven months of this year, Hangzhou still outperformed others and was the only city with over 7,000 units registered. Shanghai was honored the runner-up city with nearly 5,000 ZEEKR 001s registered through the Jan.-Nov. period.
