SERES, Huawei deepen cooperation, eyeing annual NEV sales of 1 million units in 2026

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 25, SERES and Huawei inked an agreement to deepen their joint business cooperation in Shenzhen. Based on their cooperation, the joint business goal of SERES is to achieve an annual production and sales volume of new energy vehicles of 1 million units in 2026, respectively.

According to the agreement, SERES will integrate industrial resources and promote the application of new technologies, materials, and craftmanship to the Huawei-powered vehicle models. Meanwhile, Huawei will give full play to its advantages in intelligence, digitalization, and user experience design, including high-level intelligent driving and the HarmonyOS smart cockpit, to support SERES and further strengthen their joint innovation capabilities. In addition, SERES and Huawei will further promote the establishment of a joint innovation center.

The agreement signing shows that the partnership between Huawei and SERES is going stronger, contradicting to the previous rumors spreading in the market which suggested a change in their partnership. 

Moreover, under the cooperation framework between the duo, SERES will also launch a new auto platform. The first flagship model under the new platform is scheduled to be released in 2023 and will be equipped with high-level intelligent driving system.
