NETA Auto, HiRain team up on intelligent EV development, core tech research

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- NETA Auto, a Chinese new energy vehicle maker under the company HOZON Auto, on March 15 inked an agreement with Beijing Jingwei Hirain Technologies Co., Inc. (“HiRain”), a leading Tier 1 solutions provider for the Chinese automotive market, to carry out the extensive cooperation on the development of intelligent electric vehicles, core technology research, etc.

Under the agreement, both parties will collaborate deeply in the areas of "intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit, intelligent body, vehicle motion control and new energy vehicle (NEV) power, complete vehicle electronics and electrical architecture (EEA), virtual simulation and verification, AutoSAR and middleware software, autonomous bus, and testing tools". Based on NETA Auto's full range of models, the cooperation will be carried out from product definition, engineering development, and complete vehicle applications, in a bid to boost the NEV intelligence development and bring more intelligent travelling experiences for users.

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Beijing, HiRain focuses on providing clients in the fields of automobile and unmanned transportation with electronic products, R&D services, and overall solutions for high-level intelligent driving.

Regarding auto intelligence development, NETA Auto has already owned its in-house developed full-stack intelligent car platform “Shanhai”, the NETA PILOT intelligent driving system, the NETA SPACE intelligent cockpit system, the “Tiangong Battery”, and set up the technology brand “Haozhi”.
