CATL partners with Thailand’s Arun Plus for CTP battery production
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, CATL entered into a partnership agreement with Thailand's Arun Plus Co., Ltd. (Arun Plus) for the cooperation on Cell-to-Pack (CTP) technology, the battery giant announced on June 8 via its WeChat account.
Through the collaboration, both parties are committed to meeting local demand for electric vehicle production, with an aim to help Thailand become the battery production center of the Southeast Asian region.

Under this agreement, CATL will provide CTP battery pack production lines for Arun Plus and share with the latter corresponding manufacturing technologies.
Arun Plus is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), which has established a comprehensive energy infrastructure in Thailand. To cater to the growing electrification demands in Thailand and Southeast Asia, Arun Plus established a subsidiary dedicated to electric vehicle manufacturing in Nov. 2022.
Bearing a common vision of shaping a greener future through innovative technology, this partnership is poised to strengthen Arun Plus' capabilities in electric vehicle production, so as to propel the construction of power battery ecosystems in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Additionally, this partnership represents a significant step in CATL's global strategy. It is expected to help the battery maker explore diverse collaboration models in Southeast Asian markets and further accelerate the global transition to electrification and clean energy.
