CATL, NETA Auto cement strategic cooperation

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 7, Chinese power battery giant CATL and new energy vehicle maker NETA Auto signed a strategic cooperation agreement to further strengthen their collaboration in the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry, according to press release from both parties.

According to the agreement, CATL will continue to provide support for NETA Auto's market activities in various aspects, including new projects, new technology cooperation, supply of the Shenxing Batteries, and the expansion of overseas operations.

During the signing ceremony, the duo engaged in discussions on topics such as comprehensive electrification and the internationalization of NEVs, reaching a consensus to deepen their cooperation.

Zeng Yuqun, Chairman of CATL, emphasized CATL's ongoing efforts in advancing CTC (Cell to Chassis) technology to lay the foundation for automotive manufacturers. He stated that CATL will remain dedicated to innovation in power battery technology, aiming to provide globally competitive and high-quality products to passenger vehicle customers. This joint effort aims to accelerate the achievement of comprehensive electrification and dual-carbon goals for automotive industry.

NETA Auto's Co-founder and CEO, Zhang Yong, highlighted the significance of international business expansion for new energy vehicle companies. He noted that building a long-term strategic partnership and deepening cooperation with CATL would help both parties move forward together and achieve greater breakthroughs in overseas markets.

CATL and NETA Auto have maintained a close and productive partnership over the years. In recent years, both companies have continuously advanced their comprehensive strategic cooperation, exploring various modes of collaboration, including technology R&D and supply chain support.
