GAC Energy announces registration of subsidiary in Suzhou city
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On January 2, GAC Energy Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was officially registered, marking another substantial stride in GAC Energy Technology Co., Ltd.'s energy industry deployment since its establishment on July 19, 2022, according to a post on GAC Energy's WeChat account.
The newly registered company is a joint venture between GAC Energy, Suzhou Energy Development Group, Suzhou High-Tech City Transportation Development Group, and a subsidiary of SND Financial Holdings, established and registered in the local high-tech zone of Suzhou city. The company will initially focus on Suzhou and gradually expand its presence to other regions in the Jiangsu province, aiming to establish a comprehensive "photovoltaic, energy storage, EV charging, and battery swapping" energy supply network.
At the end of 2023, GAC Energy unveiled its "Ten Thousand Charging Piles Plan," signaling an accelerated push for high-quality charging and swapping operations in 2024. The plan involves the rapid deployment of 1,000V high-voltage supercharging terminals in the year, with an initial target of 10,000 and no upper limit set.
Besides, the year 2024 marks a new starting point for GAC Energy to deeply implement the GAC Group's 2⁶ Energy Action and create a new model for the 1+N scenario of the energy ecosystem. The integration of high-voltage fast charging, rapid battery swapping, Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) car-network interaction, and other product technologies will build a collaborative "vehicle-pile-network" system, supporting the company in swiftly transforming towards a low-carbon, efficient, and environmentally friendly energy supply system.

By the end of 2023, GAC Energy has concentrated its efforts on the South, North, East, and Central-West regions of China, establishing nearly a thousand supercharging stations. Remarkably, it has achieved outstanding construction results in the East China region, with over 300 stations built annually, averaging one station per day. Suzhou, being one of the economic centers in the East China region and the country, aligns with the goals outlined in the "Suzhou New Energy Vehicle Industry High-Quality Development Action Plan (2023-2025)." The plan sets a target to build 3,000 public charging stations and 330,000 various charging piles by 2025, including the ambitious goal of 45,000 charging piles in public areas.
