The Aerospace Materials Institute was founded by CASIC's Flight Technology Research Institute and the Aerospace Special Materials and Technology Institute. It focuses on the development of next-generation aerospace materials and aims to establish a leading open platform for technological innovation in domestic aerospace materials, along with an integrated industrial innovation base. Leveraging its expertise in nano-insulation materials, phase-change materials, and ceramics, the institute targets industries such as aerospace, NEV, and industrial energy conservation, aiming to meet the demand for advanced thermal protection products and drive the development of high-performance nano-insulation materials for medium- and high-temperature applications.
According to the agreement, Li Auto and the Aerospace Materials Institute will jointly establish the "Advanced Thermal Insulation Materials Joint Laboratory." This partnership will combine the strengths of both parties to develop high-performance insulation materials, providing superior thermal safety solutions for power batteries.
