BYD puts ATTO 1 model onto Nepalese market
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 6 local time, BYD officially debuted its ATTO 1 model at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 in Kathmandu, according to a post on BYD's WeChat account. The launch signals a closer alignment between China's new energy vehicle (NEV) technology and Nepal's push for sustainable mobility, offering local buyers an affordable, low-maintenance electric transport solution that could reshape the nation's NEV landscape.

Zhang Jie, Deputy General Manager of BYD's Asia-Pacific Auto Sales Division, said the Nepalese government has shown "vision and determination" in advancing renewable energy and low-carbon transport. The ATTO 1's arrival, he noted, directly supports that agenda by helping cut emissions from the transport sector. BYD also plans to accelerate the rollout of local service networks and charging infrastructure to make electric mobility more accessible and worry-free for Nepalese drivers.
To meet local conditions, BYD has made targeted upgrades to the ATTO 1 for Nepal. The model features the company's proprietary Blade Battery technology, delivering up to 300 km of range under the WLTP cycle—enough for daily urban commutes and short trips into mountainous areas. It also comes with a high-clearance chassis and reinforced suspension, tuned to handle the varied terrain of Nepal's rugged landscapes.
