Baidu’s JIDU releases tease video for concept RoboCar

Beijing (Gasgoo)- After the logo releasement a day ago, Baidu's JIDU released a tease video of its automotive robot (RoboCar) concept car on January 19th, marking the brand's first time to unveil design-related content since its establishment.

Yesterday, JIDU declared its RoboCar dedicated visual branding package, including its official logo, signature color, and an exclusive font, all inspired by Artificial Intelligence and pixels.

According to the CEO of JIDU, Xia Yiping, AI is the glue that brings the company’s actions together. Its products and brand image are also a shared process with AI. At this stage, JIDU has completed the visual and function designs of the automotive robot concept car, which will be ready for the public eyes in April.

The tease video unveiled partial exterior and interior designing details of the concept RoboCar. The mass-produced RoboCar model will inherit 90% of the concept model's exterior designs, JIDU added.

Notably, the JIDU RoboCar follows the company's product philosophy of "free movement, free communication, and self-growth". Specifically, the RoboCar allows L4 autonomous driving capability, precise HMI and voice interaction, and non-stop self-learning and iteration abilities.

The concept model will be showcased at the Beijing Auto Show in April, and the mass-produced RoboCar will be on the market and ready for delivery in 2023.
