According to the company, its operation zone includes a fully driverless area of 168 square kilometers. AutoX's RoboTaxis are able to navigate through all the open roads in the 1,000 square kilometers service area, including narrow and congested streets and highways, providing uncompromised autonomous ride-hailing service for citizens.

Additionally, AutoX released a video of its driverless RoboTaxi in work, swiftly navigating through Shenzhen's commercial center and highways, arriving at the Shenzhen international airport for six hours duration, without disengagement.

The RoboTaxi started from one of the busiest areas in Shenzhen, the Central Business District, without a safety driver during rush hour. When the vehicle exited the driverless operation zone, a safety driver got into the driver's seat under local policies, while the vehicle still remained in fully autonomous mode throughout the ride.

AutoX has been providing fully autonomous RoboTaxi service to the public since January 2021. Its service area has successfully become the largest fully autonomous RoboTaxi zone in China in the first year of operation. The company will continue to expand its driverless service map inside the total autonomous driving zone in the future.
