BYD’s monthly sales surpass 230,000 units for first time
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- BYD Company Limited ("BYD") announced on Friday its monthly sales hit another record high of 230,427 units in Nov. 2022, surging 134.32% from the previous year and also rising 5.79% from the previous month.
The vehicle sales in Nov. were wholly made up of new energy vehicles (NEVs). Compared to the corresponding period of 2021, BYD's NEV sector scored a 152.61% hike in the Nov. sales.
In the NEV sector, the sales of passenger vehicle (PVs) shot up 155.15% over a year ago to 229,942 units last month, which were composed of 113,915 battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and 116,027 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
Of the new energy passenger vehicles sold in Nov., 226,491 units were from the Dynasty and Ocean series, while the other 3,451 units were under the DENZA brand (+886% MoM).

For the first eleven months of this year, BYD saw its cumulative vehicle sales zoom up 154.8% from a year earlier to 1,633,346 units, 99.7% of which were contributed by its NEV sector.
As for the performance in overseas markets, BYD said its passenger vehicle export volume amounted to 12,318 units in Nov., resulting in a year-to-date volume of 44,596 units.
