XPeng P7i hits market with starting price of 249,900 yuan
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 10, XPeng put the XPeng P7i, an upgraded version of the XPeng P7 sedan, onto the market. Coming with four trim levels, the new model features a price range of 249,900 yuan ($35,900) to 339,900 yuan ($48,810).
XPeng said the letter “i” stands for “intelligence”, representing the company’s extreme pursuit and constant exploration of auto intelligence.

The XPeng P7i measures 4,888mm long, 1,896mm wide, 1,450mm tall, with a wheelbase that spans 2,998mm. It features a height/length ratio of 0.297, a drag coefficient of 0.236Cd, a supercar-level center of gravity as low as 460mm, and a battery pack measuring only 110mm thick.
The XPeng P7i is offered in 6 exterior color options, 4 interior color choices, and 2 types of wheels.

In terms of the exterior design, the headlights, which are combined with LiDAR units, enable more precise target profiling and distance detection. The P7i also features concealed door handles, hidden wipers, as well as optimized tail wing and wind deflector to further reduce air resistance.

Regarding interior design, the XPeng P7i has undergone a comprehensive upgrade, with a focus on the steering wheel, center console, and auxiliary instrument panel. The steering wheel has an improved grip and more precise control by virtue of the leather wrapping and wider spokes. The seats in the P7i have been completely redesigned with ergonomic engineering, optimizing the front shoulder and rear inclination angles, extending the rear seat cushion, and offering NAPPA top-layer leather seats paired with multi-layer composite slow-rebound sponge and the human-friendly features such as rear seat heating.

With respect to hardware, three trims of the XPeng P7i are all equipped with dual Orin-X chips and two LiDAR units, with a computing power of up to 508TOPS, while the Pro version carries a single Orin-X chip. There are 31 perception components installed throughout the vehicle, enabling a 360° perception and even Level 4 intelligent driving experience in some scenarios.
The Max version will be equipped with the new-generation intelligent driving assistance system XNGP, which can achieve intelligent driving assistance functions for all scenarios, including the NGP urban intelligent navigation assistance, the enhanced NGP intelligent expressway navigation assistance, the enhanced LCC (lane centering control), the enhanced VPA-L memory parking, and the EAP super-intelligent parking assistance.
With regard to power performance, the XPeng P7i boasts a maximum torque of 757N·m and a 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.9 seconds. Its intelligent four-wheel-drive torque distribution system can intelligently transfer torque between wheels in just 20 milliseconds. To meet the personalized driving needs of users, the P7i also offers multiple driving modes with adjustable acceleration for smooth shifting, as well as a customized driver mode.
