XPeng completes deployment of super-fast charging network in 100 cities

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 30, with the inauguration of its S4 ultra-fast charging station in Zhangzhou city, Fujian province, XPeng has accomplished a comprehensive deployment of its super-fast charging network across 100 cities, lifting the cumulative volume of the station in this kind to 233, according to a post on the company's WeChat account.

Since the debut of the first S4 supercharging station in Guangzhou on August 15, 2022, it took XPeng only one year to hit the milestone.

By the end of August 2023, XPeng's super-fast charging network has served over 100,000 vehicle owners, facilitating more than 470,000 charging sessions.

In a bid to propel the extensive reach of the S4 supercharging network, XPeng has embraced multiple collaborative construction and franchise models for its charging network expansion. This strategic shift seeks to build a high-quality charging network in partnership with like-minded collaborators, ensuring zero range anxiety for its users on the road, said the company.

The S4 supercharging pillar boasts a peak power of up to 480 kW, coupled with XPeng’s latest high-voltage platform where the XPeng G9 and G6 models are based on. It can offer a range of 300 kilometers within a 10-minute charge session.

With the completion of the S4 supercharging network's coverage in a hundred city and XPeng's agile deployment capabilities, the company has erected over 1,000 self-operated charging stations and more than 2,200 sites offering free charging privileges to eligible owners. This network spans all of China's 337 prefecture-level administrative regions and centrally-administered municipalities.

By 2025, the company aims to establish 3,000 self-operated stations equipped with supercharging capabilities.
