Huawei Cloud unveils Pangu vehicle large model at HUAWEI CONNECT 2023

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 21, at the HUAWEI CONNECT 2023 event, Huawei Cloud introduced the Pangu vehicle large model, a comprehensive solution that spans automotive design, production, marketing, and R&D.

Zhang Ping'an, Executive Director, CEO of Huawei Cloud Computing Technologies, stated, "We hope that the Pangu vehicle large model can provide every employee in the automotive industry with their own expert assistant, making work more efficient and effortless."

In the automotive sector, training for autonomous driving systems is often challenged by the need to navigate various complex scenarios. The Pangu vehicle large model addresses this issue by creating a digital twin space, generating complex scenario samples, and shortening the training cycle for autonomous driving corner cases from over two weeks to just two days.

In the commercial vehicle domain, Pangu can simulate scenarios such as dusty mining environments, steep inclines, and sharp turns, providing automatic annotations. It takes just four man-months to adapt to new heavy-duty truck models. Currently, such opencast coal mines like Jiangna in Xinjiang and Yimin in Inner Mongolia are leveraging Huawei's commercial vehicle autonomous driving cloud services, achieving precise positioning with lateral errors of less than 0.2 meters and accurate docking with errors of less than 0.1 meters for 60-tonne heavy trucks.

Furthermore, commercial vehicle maker FAW Jiefang has already integrated the Pangu vehicle large model into its operations, using it as an enterprise-level intelligent brain. It seamlessly integrates with existing business systems, creating intelligent work assistants for employees and reshaping the collaborative relationship between humans and machines in a new production paradigm.
