BYD Yangwang’s first direct-sale store opens for business in Shanghai

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 28, BYD's premium brand, Yangwang, inaugurated its first direct-sale store in China, which is located at the iconic skyline of Shanghai, the Bund.

Positioned as the first port for Yangwang to showcase its cutting-edge products, technologies, and services, the new showroom takes residence within the historic Roosevelt Mansion, seamlessly incorporating the design philosophy found in the Yangwang U8's interior. Inside the showroom, natural sunlight bathes the space, creating a serene atmosphere that enhances the original allure of the vehicle's contours and paint finishes.

Officially chosen for its location within the international hub of high-end brands, the new store offers not only convenience for visitors but also integrates Shanghai's rich cultural heritage into its spatial design. Yangwang said it aspires to make the store a benchmark flagship among its brand portfolio, capitalizing on the city's deep-rooted presence in the luxury market.

In addition to offering sales and test drive services, the newly opened store will regularly host brand events, test drive activities, and technical sharing sessions, catering to both customers and automotive enthusiasts alike.

Yangwang emphasizes its commitment to providing standardized services characterized by "professionalism, sincerity, efficiency, and responsibility" by adopting a fully direct-sales model across all its stores and after-sales services. This approach is underpinned by BYD Group's extensive channel network and a wealth of sales talent cultivated over many years.

The new facility belongs to Yangwang's showroom category, which is strategically located in easily accessible urban areas, primarily focusing on offering sales and test drive services, while organizing engaging customer events.

Furthermore, Yangwang's channel strategy includes another store format, known as the Yangwang Center Store. These facilities embody Yangwang's service capabilities, offering brand experiences, sales, delivery, and after-sales services. Some center stores even feature an ultimate technology experience area, allowing customers to personally explore the extraordinary performance of the Yangwang U8, said the carmaker.

Apart from Shanghai, Yangwang is set to open stores in such cities as Beijing, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen, and Xi'an in October. Currently, more than 70 direct-sale stores are under construction, with the first Yangwang Center Store set to debut in Beijing. It is projected that by the end of this year, the brand will establish over 90 direct-sale stores in more than 40 cities nationwide.
