Li Auto, Shoucheng Holdings to build supercharging tech joint venture
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese new energy vehicle maker Li Auto signed a cooperation agreement with Shoucheng Holdings Limited at the Shougang Park in Beijing, according to Li Auto’s press release. The two companies plan to establish a joint venture named Beijing Shoucheng Supercharging Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Shoucheng Supercharging").

The partnership will leverage Shoucheng Holdings' prime locations and electricity access capabilities alongside Li Auto's expertise in site selection and infrastructure investment standards, aiming to accelerate the development and operation of urban charging infrastructure, in order to contribute to a cleaner, low-carbon, safe, and efficient energy system. Additionally, the new charging stations will feature interoperable charging platforms, enhancing convenience for users by offering multi-platform charging services. Premium locations will also include amenities such as temporary rest areas, convenience stores, and car showrooms, creating a comprehensive environment that combines functionality and leisure for users.
At the signing ceremony, both parties emphasized that the collaboration capitalizes on complementary resources to provide more convenient and efficient charging services for users, ensuring a win-win outcome. They expressed their commitment to exploring further cooperative models that support the growth of the electric vehicle industry and promote high-quality industry development.
Following the signing ceremony, the two companies participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for their first joint project, the Shougang Park Liu Gong Hui Supercharging Station. The successful launch of this initial station marks a promising start to their partnership, with plans to develop additional high-quality projects focused on the new energy vehicle sector.
Since the beginning of the year, Li Auto has forged multiple partnerships in the energy sector, steadily expanding its supercharging network to bolster its electric vehicle lineup's market competitiveness. As of August 22, Li Auto has established 728 supercharging stations, with 233 of them located in urban areas.
