Aion UT super delivers 1,000 units in first week on sale

On December 3, JD Auto announced that the Aion UT super held its 1,000th-owner delivery ceremony in Beijing, marking the model's entry into a new phase of scaled deliveries. Notably, 990 of the 1,000 vehicles were ordered online, underscoring the growing viability of e-commerce platforms in automobile sales.

This is the industry's first case in which consumers placed orders without any in-person test drive, and without relying on offline order accumulation, yet still achieving 1,000 deliveries in the first week on sale. Jointly developed by CATL, JD.com, and GAC Group, the Aion UT super debuted on November 9, with initial deliveries starting on November 25. The vehicle is offered in two purchase models: full purchase at 89,900 yuan, or a battery-leasing option with 40,000 yuan deducted from the car price, bringing it down to 49,900 yuan.

CaoCao,Qianli Zhijia form strategic partnership on autonomous driving

On December 3, Chinese autonomous driving company Qianli Zhijia(in Chinese Pinyin) and CaoCao Inc., the mobility service arm of Geely Holding Group, signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will jointly promote the large-scale commercial deployment of intelligent driving in shared-mobility scenarios.

Under the partnership, Qianli Zhijia will leverage its strengths in full-stack autonomous driving technology, automotive-grade mass-production solutions, and large-scale real-world data processing. Cao Cao will provide mature operational networks, a large compliant fleet, refined operational capabilities, and a strong user base to support the commercialization and rollout of intelligent-driving vehicles.

The initial phase will focus on pilot operations of advanced intelligent-driving services in designated areas, gradually introducing Qianli Zhijia autonomous driving system–equipped NEVs into Cao Cao’s fleet, with plans to expand both fleet size and service coverage in the coming years.
