All-new Chery Cowin to be launched in 2009

The new-generation Chery Cowin (or Chery A15) is positioned as the flagship Chery car for family use. Its entirely upgrading will include the engine and many other features to distinguish it from the new Chery A3 and Chery A5, both of which were put on sale over the past few months. The Chery sedan lineup will be further enriched by the launch of the new Chery A15 next year.
The Chery Cowin (Qiyun) 1.5L model was launched in early July as an addition to the Chery Cowin series, the Chery A3 model sedan went on sale in late September, and the Chery A5 1.5L model will also go to the market as an addition to the Chery A5 portfolio. The forthcoming Chery A5 1.5L model carries the same SQR477F engine as the Chery Cowin 1.5L model, with its selling price at about 60,000 yuan.
Compared to the current Chery Cowin models, the all-new Chery Cowin's body will feature smooth streamline. It will come in the sedan and hatchback models to follow the market trend. As its price will not necessarily be higher than the current Cowin models, the Chery Cowin series will better satisfying our numerous customers' needs for auto fuel economy.
