Enterprise Holdings buying PSA Peugeot units

Associated Press - Rental car company Enterprise Holdings said Sunday that it is buying two PSA Peugeot Citroen subsidiaries for an undisclosed amount.

Enterprise Holdings is the parent company of rental car companies Enterprise, National and Alamo. The acquisition would add PSA Peugeot's Citer SA and Atesa units to the company's holdings.

Citer SA has about 30,000 vehicles in its fleet, with coverage in France and Spain. Enterprise Holdings currently has more than 1.2 million cars and trucks worldwide.

Enterprise Holdings expects the deal to close by the end of 2011.

"With no overlap or duplication to our current operations in Europe, this will be a great strategic fit," said Enterprise Holdings Chairman and CEO Andrew C. Taylor, in a statement.
