Hengst Filter Systems builds new factory in Kunshan

The world-known supplier Hengst specializes in manufacturing filter systems. In 2005, it rented a factory in Kunshan Economic & Technological Development Zone to start production, filling the margin of auto filter manufacturing in the zone.

As the rented factory couldn’t meet the operation demand currently, Hengst planned to expand its production capacity by building a new factory, which covers 10,000 square meters for the first phase and is expected to be put into production by May 2009.

Founded by Walter Hengst in 1958, Hengst is a world leader in the manufacture of filters and filter systems for the automobile industry in the industrial and consumer sectors. Headquartered in Germany, the company has subsidiaries and manufacturing locations in Brazil, China and the U.S.

The Hengst product line covers a wide range of applications from filter inserts for oil, air, fuel and cabin air filtration systems to extensive multifunction modules for all types of engines.

The company’s decades of filtration know-how are also in demand for industrial and environmental engineering applications. Custom solutions can be designed and implemented for almost all filtration applications.
